The Joy of the Hunting
Posted May 14, 2026
I hunt because they hunted for a hundred thousand years. I pass the test, I will diminish. Hear my cry, oh ancestors:
oh young shaman
don’t go
for he defeated the spirits
forever
that we would never have to be
yoked to them again
so dance and
lay down your load
in the fields, in the forests
and summon to yourself courage
and nothing else
for the great dance is a generous way
and the great dancer
always watching
Dedicated to a thousand thousand shamans
